“Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth.
Serve the Lord with gladness;
Come before Him with joyful singing.”

Psalm 100:1-2 (NASB)

Are you prepared to worship today? Here the Psalmist calls us to praise the Lord with shouts of joy and joyful singing and to serve Him with gladness. Have you ever found that difficult to achieve on Sunday morning ? Joy is a fruit of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22) and only is produced in a life that abides in the presence of Christ (John 15:5). In order to give the Lord the authentic and joyous worship that He desires and deserves corporately, we must abide in His presence throughout the week. Authentic corporate worship will be a natural result of a life that is abiding in Christ.

Questions for application…

How does joy differ from happiness?

What can we do individually to prepare ourselves for corporate worship?

What kind of worship does God desire and deserve?
