“This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.”
Matthew 24:14 (NASB)
Christ is returning soon to take His children home and to judge the world in righteousness. No man knows exactly when that glorious event will occur (Mt 24:36) but Jesus Himself gives us some idea. It will happen when the gospel has been preached to the whole world as a testimony to the nations. The word nations here (“ethnos” in the Greek) mean : “tribe, nation, people group”. We know that one day all people groups will hear the gospel; we have God’s promise on that. Our labors will not be in vain. God has granted us a tremendous privilege to be a part of the work will usher in the return of our Savior. Therefore let us step outside of our comfort zones and take the gospel to the nations.
