“The righteous has enough to satisfy his appetite,
But the stomach of the wicked is in need.

Proverbs 13:25 (NASB)

Are you satisfied? Is your life “full” or do you constantly crave the things that you don’t have in an endless pursuit of satisfaction? The righteous have enough. Paul tells us in Philippians 4 that he has learned to be content in all situations whether that means being wealthy or in lack. For a Christian, the key to being satisfied is not in how much we have but rather finding our satisfaction in Who we have. Jesus said that those who drink the water that He gives will never thirst again (John 4:14). Find your satisfaction in the Person and presence of Jesus Christ today.

Questions for application…

Why should we never chase after material treasures ?

How did Paul learn to be content in poverty ?
