“ pray without ceasing; “
1 Thess 5:17 (NASB)
1 Thess 5:17 is one of the shortest and yet most profound verses in scripture. The Greek word is “adialeiptos“ which means “without intermission, incessantly, continually.” We are to regard prayer with the same importance as we regard breathing. We should often be in the act of prayer and we should always be in the attitude of prayer. Our relationship with Christ requires constant, intimate communication. Prayer is the lifeline of the believer and it is the foundation of everything that we do in the Kingdom.
Questions for application…
How often should we pray?
What does it mean to be in an “attitude” or “spirit” of prayer ?
