“He raises the poor from the dust
And lifts the needy from the ash heap,
To make them sit with princes,
With the princes of His people. ”
Psalm 113:7-8 (NASB)
Praise the Lord because He has exalted the lowly by His grace and adopted us into His family. No matter what our station in life, through Christ we have become sons and daughters of the King of Kings. The Apostle John tells us that we will reign on the earth as Kings and priests to God. (Rev 5:10) All of this is by God’s grace. None of it is deserved or merited. Therefore let us worship and give thanks to the one who has raised us up for His glory and by His power.
