“The earth has yielded its produce;
God, our God, blesses us.
God blesses us,
That all the ends of the earth may fear Him.”

Psalm 67:6-7 (NASB)

The Psalms are songs of Praise. This Psalm may have been sung at a harvest festival in thanks to God’s provision. The phrase is repeated, “God blesses us”, “God blesses us”. He blesses us because He is Good. He is Good to all people and especially so to His children. He also blesses us so that “all the ends of the earth may fear Him.” The Hebrew word for fear here is “yare’” which means: “to stand in awe of, be awed”. God blesses so that we may see His work and be in awe of His power. Today, let us rejoice in His blessings and worship Him for His Sovereign Goodness towards us.

Questions for application…

What are some of the ways that God has blessed you this week?

How should all people rightly respond to God’s blessings?
