“This is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but raise it up on the last day ”
John 6:39 (NASB)
Jesus tells us 4 essential truths about salvation in John 6:39. Truth number one: Our salvation is by the will of God. Salvation is from the Lord. (Jonah 2:9) It is about God and for God. Truth number two: God has ordained the salvation of His people. Jesus says that “all that the Father has given me”. We are given to Christ as a bride is given to the bridegroom. Third truth: “I lose nothing”. Our salvation is eternally secure in Christ. He will not lose us or reject us. We have been adopted into His family forever. Truth number four: He will raise us up at the last day. The redemption in Christ includes the redemption of our bodies and they will be raised up at Christ return.
