“Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!”

Isaiah 6:8 (NASB)

Who will take he good news of Christ to a lost and dying world? We have a tendency to think that evangelism is the responsibility of the full time missionary, the Pastor, the deacons or the church leadership. The fact is that every Christian is to be a missionary. The great commission is a universal command of Christ to all believers. Each of us have been given a unique mission field full of people who need to hear the Gospel. Will we be unfaithful to God’s call to go and make disciples or will we, like Isaiah respond rightly by saying to Him “Here am I, send me”?

Questions for application…

In what ways can we take the gospel to those with whom we live, work and interact?

What will become of those in our unique mission field who do not hear the Gospel?
