“Sing praises to God, sing praises; Sing praises to our King, sing praises.
For God is the King of all the earth; Sing praises with a skillful psalm.
God reigns over the nations, God sits on His holy throne.”

Psalm 47:6-8 (NASB)

Praise the Lord. Sing praises to our King because our God is King over all of the Earth. Our God is sovereign over all creation, over all nations and over all men at all times. Give praise to God because He is the mighty One who has redeemed His people. Give praise that our God declares the end from the beginning (Isa. 46:10) and that His plans for us cannot be thwarted by the rebellion of men. Give praise to our God because He rules and reigns and because one day every knee will bow and every tongue will confess Jesus as the Lord of all.(Rom. 14:11)
