“Great is our Lord and abundant in strength;
His understanding is infinite.”

Psalm 147:5 (NASB)

Our God is omniscient. The word “omniscient” comes from the Latin “omnis” meaning “all” and “sciens” meaning “knowledge”. God has all knowledge. God knows every event of eternity’s plan perfectly. He hears and sees all things perfectly. He knows the hearts of men perfectly. God has never been surprised, disappointed or caught off guard. God knows our thoughts before we think them, knows our desires before we realize them and knows our prayers before we speak them. Our God knows His children like only a perfect Father could and He loves them beyond all measure.

Questions for application…

How would it affect our actions to remember that God knows, hears and sees all things?

How can it comfort the believer to know that God is already aware of what lies ahead of us?
