But as for me, by Your abundant lovingkindness I will enter Your house, At Your holy temple I will bow in reverence for You. ”

Psalm 5:7 (NASB)

We come to worship this morning because we can. Because God has been gracious to us we have both the desire and the opportunity to join together with the body of Christ in corporate worship. We also come to worship because God is worthy. We need no other reason than the fact that God created us to worship Him and glorify His name. David talks about “bowing in reverence” as we come to worship. This should be our attitude as we worship today, humbled by His Awesomeness, aware of His Worthiness and grateful for His Lovingkindness.

Questions for application…

Where do both the desire and opportunity to worship come from?

What kind of attitude should we display as we worship together ?
